Great for my purpose
I use these as a neck chain to hold a small cross and a medical ID They are perfect for this. But note that using them as a boot lace would put much more strain on them. They do seem to be a bit thinner than other leather boot laces I have seen. So while they are perfect for me, you may need a thicker lace. I just used a tape measure... 73 and about 1/4 inches in total length.
Defective product laces
Lace broke with in the first two weeks of use. I would not recommand this product for any use let alone shoe laces.
Just good for all kinds of things
I didn't get these for boot laces. I just wanted some around to use as tie downs, wrist straps or holding straps so I got the longest they offered and cut them for my needs. I did put a piece in water overnight to see if it would shrink, it didn't (I was kinda hoping they would like rawhide). Get the long ones, they are easy to cut and you have a little left over. Very pleased with the quality.
