Created in the UK, over a two-year collaboration between former Bliss spa-entrepreneur Marcia Kilgore, Biomechanist Dr. David Cook and a team of untiring footwear engineers, FitFlops were initially designed to help modern women squeeze a little more exercise into their increasingly hectic schedules."I thought, how amazing if I could invent something that would help fight the onset of cellulite while I'm walking to the office," says Kilgore. "I work. I have kids. I have a husband. And the likelihood of me seeing the inside of a gym in the next ten years is slim to none. That said, I'd obviously prefer to go with slim." Kilgore found Dr. Cook at The Centre for Human Performance at London's LSBU, where he envisioned injecting the patent-pending 'microwobbleboard' technology into the midsole of the function-forward flip flop. I don't know about the Gym built in but...
I've been feeling lethargic and not able to walk fast or with a spring in my step and the Fitflops have helped me walk faster and with more energy. Because of all the padding and shock absorbency they are very comfortable. I gave them three stars instead of four or five because the "gym built-in" claim is an exaggeration. Had they been described as very comfortable shoes that will help induce more walking, which can ad to your fitness level, ok, but so far, I'm not feeling a super tight butt or anything. Also, they're not the best looking shoe I've seen. I paid $60.00 plus shipping & handling which I think is a bit over priced. However, in fairness, they are very comfortable and have helped me walk faster and more comfortably. That's fair, so I do recommend them.

from the first moment I put these shoes on, I felt the difference. I had been having trouble with my back and that has steadily improved since I've been wearing these shoes. I don't say they cured me, but they make me walk better and are very comfortable. I forget I have shoes on - and I've always liked barefoot best. I would recommend these shoes for everyone.

I WORK IN RETAIL AND I AM ON MY FEET ALL DAY AND THESE ARE THE ONLY SHOES THAT I AM ABLE TO STAND IN AND RUN AROUND THE STORE IN AND MY LEGS DONT ACH. SO I HAVE TO SAY THEY ARE A+++++++++++ . AND I HAVE THEM IN ALMOST EVER COLOR.
